見て覚える
昨日は半そででも汗ばむ陽気だったのに、今日は、真冬のような冷たい雨。
こんなめちゃくちゃな天候でも、風邪をひかないでなんとか持ちこたえてる我が家。
丈夫になったもんだ…
特に、オットとおいら…

さて。
そんな汗ばむ陽気だった昨日。
放課後いつもの公園へ繰り出しました。
今、おいらのクラスの男子チームは、空前のキックボードブーム到来中。
公園では、全員が全員キックボードに乗って、走り回るのが定番。
ところが、昨日は公園へ来たメンツが少なくて、競争してみても、あまり楽しくなかった子どもたち。
珍しく、貸自転車に乗ると言いだして、自転車に乗ることになりました。
おいらがいつも行く公園には、幼児用の補助ありと補助なし自転車を、事実上時間無制限で、100円で貸してくれるサービスがあります。
おいらは補助ありでも、まだヨレヨレとしか走れない。
でも、本人は、カッコ良く乗れてるつもりなのですが、はなはだイケてない。
補助なしをスイスイ乗りこなすクラスメートとは、雲泥の差です。
相変わらず、どんくさいなあ…と思いながら、おいらが自転車に乗ってる様子を見てて、びっくり！
おいら、ブレーキが使えてる。
以前、と言っても、何カ月も前だけど、その頃のおいらは、自転車のブレーキの存在を知らなかったはず。
自転車をとめる時は、両足を地面についていた。
たいしたスピードじゃないから、それでぜんぜん不都合もない。
そのおいらが、手でブレーキを操作して、きゅっっと止まってるじゃあないですかっ！
で、後からおいらに、聞いてみた。
ブレーキ上手に使えてたね…と。
すると、おいらが…
おとさまと自転車乗る時、おとさまがどうやって自転車stopするのか見てたからわかったんだよ。
おとさまが、手のところのstickみたいなやつをgrabしたら、自転車がとまるの。
おいら、知ってるんだ！
ほう。
そういうことか。
オットが時々子乗せチャリでおいらとサイクリングするのだけど、その時おいらはただぼーっと乗ってるだけじゃなく、オットがどうやって自転車を操作してるか、観察してたわけね。
さらにおいらは続けます。
あとね。
おとさまは、自転車が止まってる時は、片足だけ地面につけて、もう片方は、足でpushして、turn around（回す）やつ（ペダル）の上に乗せてるの。
だから、おいらは、今日自転車が止まってる時は、前は、両方の足を地面に着けてたけど、今日は、片方だけにしたんだ〜。
カッコよかったでしょ〜♪
細かいこと、よく観察してるな〜
で、さらに、それを自分で実践してみてるところが、なかなか高等動物になってきた気配を感じさせるわけで。
最近、おいらが、教えた覚えがないのに、なにかができるようになるということがよくあります。
おいらが物事を学習するチャネルが、家庭・プリ・テレビなど、多様化しているから、もちろんすべて私が把握するのは難しいわけですが、相手が教えようと企図していない場合でも、おいらが自ら学習してしまうということが結構あるんだろうなあ…としみじみ思いました。
今、おいらの観察力はきっとアクセル全開。
周囲の大人が模範とならなければ、しょうもないことを学習しちゃうんだろうなあ…ドキドキ。
とりあえず、靴はちゃんと揃えて脱ぐようにしよう。。。＜目標小さっ！
